June 16-18, 2011: 36th Kiamichi Owa-Chito (Festival of the Forest) Held at Beavers Bend State Park, Kiamichi Owa-Chito was formed to stage an annual festival of the forest in an effort to acquaint the people of Oklahoma, surrounding states and the world with the beauty, heritage, industry and progress that are Kiamichi Country. Kiamichi Owa-Chito is a "coming together" of the people, ethnic groups, industries, organizations, businessmen and specialist of McCurtain County... an invitation to everyone, everywhere to "come and see what we've got."
